Motion-activated lights are very convenient, but they can be a little bulky and awkward to look at-in the driveway is fine, but you wouldn't want to put one on your porch. Heath Zenith's motion-activated porch lights are another story: the SL-4305 looks like an ordinary five-sided porch light.

The unit will detect motion in a 360-degree radius with up to 30-feet detection range. You can set the light timer to one, five, or ten minutes, and the sensor itself may be adjusted to give you more or less sensitivity (so it doesn't light up every time a car drives by). The weather-resistant brass construction means it's going to look good for a while, too.

If you're looking to save a little money on lighting your porch by installing a motion-detector, this is a great option that won't look out of place. Requires four candelabra bulbs of up to 25 watts each (not included).--Josh Dettweiler

This was very easy to install, it took me much longer to take the old fixture off than to install this new one. Just need the bulbs and it works well. Provides a lot more security and has a broad range for it to turn on. I bought this one because of its rating and needed a one that is motion-activated due to car being broken into in front of the house.
